Max did not hear what Jared said and looked back. "We have heard nothing about Michael for so long. Could it be…" Jared was abroad for the most part of the year, but he knew what was happening in Hustuaburg. It was the Johnston family that appointed Michael to the position, but there was not a peep out of them when Michael had done such a terrible job. Someone must have put sand in the wheels. Jared had apparently thought of this long ago, and he already had a candidate in mind. Just that when he thought of that person, his expression would become glacial. He lazily leaned back in the seat, looking at the lights and heavy traffic flying past the window outside with an assured look in his eyes. "There is no rush," he said. His voice was smug, and Max could tell there was a hint of indifference in it. "They will show themselves." Max was confused, but he would not question Jared's decision. He nodded his head and then said hesitantly, "There is news from my father: Mr. Rogers Sr. has
