"Reyna, it's me." Nathan's deep voice came through from the other end. Reyna could recognize that voice in a heartbeat, no matter what became of him. Once, hearing that voice had felt like the most beautiful sound she'd ever heard. But now, the deliberately lowered vocal fry only made her sick. Without thinking, she moved to hang up.
