Late into the night, all was silent. Only a dim, yellow lamp was lit in the bedroom.
Lila lay on the soft, large bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.
From outside, the gentle moonlight seeped through the window like a layer of shimmering water, outlining the nearby couch.
Rhett lay there quietly, his breathing steady, seemingly fast asleep.
