Chapter 2

I opened my mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came. I literally choked up and started to cry. "Oh my God Alannis what's wrong? Do I have to come there?!" Callie asked partially panicked. I tried to regain my composure to tell her that I was fine but I just couldn't. There was some commotion on her end before I heard a very low and disgruntled voice on the other end. "Tell Braden I'm coming to see him." X hung up and I was even more afraid. Without a thought, I jumped up and ran out of the room right into one of his pack members. "Sorry."
