Back at Daphne's place, the little girl's smile looked a lot like hers. Her face was almost a copy of Daphne's.
Daphne thought she shouldn't keep calling her "little one," so she needed to pick a name.
She immediately thought of the name "Ellie." It felt like a name filled with life and new beginnings. It symbolized hope and meant she would grow up healthy and safe.
"Ellie Miller," she said. "That sounds good."
Daphne played with the little girl. "Baby, how about Ellie Miller? Does that sound nice?"
The little girl laughed even more sweetly. It seemed she really liked the name.
"Good girl, Ellie."
Emma entered from outside. She thought she heard a toddler's voice.
She was startled when she saw a child on the bed and stood there, too shocked to move.
"Ms. Miller, where did this baby come from?"
"This is my daughter," Daphne said.
"What?" Emma was shocked. Even if the snake had hatched, it would've needed a few more days for evolution. This was too fast.
