Chapter189: Kill Them

*Kelly* “Thank the Goddess,” I say. Cars are headed toward us on the horizon, and Eli has already received confirmation that they’re Mark’s warriors. They’ve come to meet us in some decent cars that won’t fall apart on the highway like this piece of shit is threatening to do with every turn. At least now Eli can make it to Rose in time. As they approach, I see that there are two cars, and one is a lot closer than the other. As it gets near, I can see why—it’s a two-seater sportscar, and it looks really fast. Eli slows our van as we work out logistics. Obviously, the sportscar is here for Eli so that he can get to Rose as fast as possible. I’d love to be there when the babies are born, but it’s much more important that he get there on time. I probably wouldn’t be in the birthing room with four Alphas taking up space anyway, so I’ll wait until everything is done and the babies are brought out for me to see and hold.
