Chapter 73

《Earlier that day》 Ezekiel took in a deep breath as he plopped down tiredly on the swivel chair. He loosened his neck ties and took off his suit jacket. Today had been really hectic for him. He had to deal with a lot of dramas, heartbreaks and worst, Alyssa threatening to leave him with their son. He tried to clear his mind with the huge workload laying on his desk but he just couldn't concentrate. He couldn't forget how Alyssa and Aiden stared at him as they left. He regretted saying those harsh words to Aiden. No matter the severity of what the boy had done, he shouldn't have lashed at him that way. Aiden's stare reminded him of the way Alyssa used to look at him five years ago; shock, pain, sadness and disappointment. Now that Alyssa had threatened to leave him, it made him scared. He couldn't bear the mere thought of being away from them again. Anxiety slowly replaced the feelings he had and he became unstable.
