Harold watched helplessly as Mina dipped a cotton swab into a large glob of pink, gooey ointment, ready to smear it onto Huan's wound. He swallowed hard, unable to hold back any longer. "Mina, are you sure you want to use your ointment instead of the one Jane gave us?"
Without even turning her head, Mina waved her hand dismissively. "No need, Harold. You’ve got to trust my skills!"
Harold thought to himself, *Yeah, right. Like I’d believe that!*
He bit his tongue, stopping himself from saying it out loud.
