Just as Eliana had closed her eyes and resigned herself to fate, she heard two figures jumping into the water - it was Aidan and Travis. Aidan felt his heart sink when he saw just how tightly Eliana was clutching onto Evan’s wrist - she was holding onto him so tightly that it was almost as though her life depended on it. Aidan swam over as quickly as he could and grabbed Eliana’s hand, while Travis swam over to grab Evan. They soon came back to the surface and dragged Eliana and Evan back onto the riverbank. “Ellie...Evan...oh no, how could this have happened!” Laura, who’d been onlooking on the riverbank, couldn’t help but cry out in dismay. As soon as they’d hauled them onto the riverbank, Aidan and Travis began to perform CPR on Eliana and Travis respectively. It was an extremely nerve-wracking and tensed moment.
