Chapter 86

“I want all of you to get out of here this instant.” Aidan commanded in an icy voice. And so, the bodyguards started to leave one by one, trickling out of the room until the last one of them closed the door shut behind him. Aidan then opened his palm to reveal the terrifying-looking whip in his hand. He glared at Eliana as he snarled, “Tell me right now - why did you kill him?” Even though Eliana knew that she pretty much had no way out and had to bear her impending punishment and torture, she was adamant against staying silent and letting the whole thing slide just like that. “Aidan, please, listen to me,” she pleaded, “I wasn’t the one who’d killed Evan - it was Laura who’d hired a nanny and…” Before Eliana could even finish her words, however, Aidan raised his hand to let the whip crack against the former’s skin. Even though Eliana had braced herself for this, she couldn’t help but howl in pain as soon as her skin split open under the end of Aidan’s whip. As usual, Aidan stubbornly
