Everett’s POV
Walking out of the hospital, I drove straight to a long-abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city.
I arrived alone.
Miley was locked inside a warehouse, guarded by four private bodyguards.
I stopped the car at the gate.
The guard approached. I rolled down the driver’s window.
He bowed slightly. “Mr. Robinson, Mr. Taylor has already informed me. You may proceed inside.”
“Thank you.”
I killed the engine and stepped out.
The guard opened the door and pointed. “She’s over there.”
I followed the direction of his finger.
Miley crouched in the corner, her wrists and ankles bound with rope, her mouth sealed with duct tape. Dust clung to her dress; her long hair was disheveled, her once-perfect makeup ruined.
The warehouse door behind her slammed shut. Of the four bodyguards, only one stayed inside. The other three spread out to keep watch.
