Damian’s POV After checking on my other patients as usual, I headed to Scarlett’s ward with Nurse Martha. “You’re looking much better today, Miss Taylor,” Martha said warmly, checking Scarlett’s temperature and blood pressure. “Everything’s normal.” “Honestly, I feel totally fine now.” Scarlett’s gaze flicked to my white coat as she asked, “Dr. Jones, when can I be discharged?” She didn’t seem like she wanted to stay in the hospital a minute longer than necessary. I gave her a gentle smile. “Given your condition, it’s best to stay one more day for observation. If there’s no discomfort, you can go home tomorrow.” “Alright then,” she said with a small nod. “Nurse Martha, could you give us a moment? I’d like to speak to Miss Taylor alone.” “Of course. I’ll check on the next room.” After Martha left, she quietly closed the door behind her. The room instantly felt quieter with just the two of us.
