I looked down at him from above and said, "You took the bone whistle Grandma gave me, didn't you? You knew it was the only thing I had left, and yet you went and hung it around Elena's dog's neck.
"Don't insult love, Cedric. You don't love me. You just didn't want to lose your most convenient painkiller."
Cedric froze, his face draining of all color.
Then my body suddenly wavered.
"Ugh..."
I clutched my chest.
A violent rejection reaction had hit.
Earlier, I had forced myself to take in a massive dose of cursed blood to save Cyril. Now, the residual poison inside me was rebelling, lashing at my veins and meridians.
Only the blood of a high-level wolf could ease it.
I gritted my teeth against the pain, determined to stagger back to the tent and find Kyle.
When they saw the state I was in, Cyril and Cedric's eyes lit up.
This was their chance.
