The heavy rain from last night had left the weather still gloomy today. There was no more rain, but distant flashes of lightning and thunder could still be seen and heard. After getting out of the car, Mayra opened an umbrella and walked into the neighborhood. The fresh scent of earth after rain filled the air. As she walked toward the building, she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her. She turned around but saw no one as though she was merely hallucinating. Just as she was about to continue, two bodyguards in black suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking her path. "Ms. Sadler, this isn't the way to the library." Mayra adjusted the bag on her shoulder. "Where I go is my business." The bodyguard responded, "Sorry, Ms. Sadler, we're just following orders." Mayra recognized one of the bodyguards as she had seen him before. He was one of Anderson's men. Knowing there was no point in arguing with them, Mayra took out her phone and dialed Anderson's number.
