As I drove her home, I glanced at the woman beside me, remembering the first time I saw her last night.
She pushed open the bar door and walked in. Her red dress traced the curves of her alluring figure. Her golden hair fell loose around her shoulders. Her fair skin and delicate features were beautiful, with visible tear stains on her cheeks.
I took one look and returned to my drink. After all, she was just an ordinary human girl, useless to me.
Well,I'm a werewolf. My father is the Alpha of the Black Moon pack, Our pack runs companies in human society. I studied abroad to learn business management. Next month, I'll take over my father's position as the new Alpha, which is why I returned. Naturally, I also became the new CEO of the Watson Group.

I watched her as she downed one vodka after another. A subtle fragrance of flowers and vanilla wafted from her. Even across the room, her scent seemed to call to me, though it was faint.
"Let's go," Raven urged again.
I had no choice. I couldn't say no to Raven; if he took control, it would only make things worse. Reluctantly, I finished my drink and walked over to her.
Women had never been scarce in my life, probably thanks to my looks. Soon enough, she ended up in my bed. When I slipped off her dress, her body was stunning. Slim waist, full hips, long legs, and those perfect breasts.

Watching her nervous expression, I maintained my cold facade, telling Raven, "Look how scared she is now. She was so bold this morning."
Raven wagged his tail excitedly, "Isn't she delightful? She's got spirit, challenging us like that."
I closed my eyes helplessly to avoid letting others in the conference room see me roll them.
After the meeting, I had my subordinate call her back into the office, she had slipped out earlier. I had planned to give her a stern lecture, but when I saw those big, beautiful, innocent blue eyes, my heart inexplicably softened.
It must have been Raven's influence. When she got close to me, I had the urge to pull her into my arms, but I restrained myself. Instead, I threw her insults back at her. I wanted to add something like, "If I was so bad in bed, why were you moaning so passionately last night?"But I didn't want to tarnish my image too much, so I held my tongue.

That afternoon, I attended a birthday gathering for one of his old war buddies in his stead. I never expected to run into Claire there, talk about bad luck crossing paths.
Claire didn't seem to get along well with her father's side of the family. At the dinner table, the way that man kept glancing at her made my blood boil—I wanted to gouge his eyes out. But turns out, he was her ex-boyfriend. God, Claire has terrible taste in men.
I watched her argument with her father's family escalate into a physical fight, giving me new insight into her character.
She was strong-willed and defiant, her temper as fiery as her body was hot.
When her father slapped her, I wanted to rush over and beat him. But clearly this was a family matter, and my upbringing prevented me from interfering. If she were my mate, I could intervene. This thought startled me. Had I developed such strong protective and possessive feelings for her?
After she stormed out of the birthday party, I quickly made excuses to leave too. I followed her in my car, keeping a distance, and overheard her conversation with her ex-boyfriend.

Her eyes were red, as if she were still upset. I didn't get it. What was so heartbreaking about a cheating man? Was that why she ran into the bar last night, drowning her sorrows in vodka like it was water?
The thought pissed me off. Had she just used me in bed as some kind of replacement, a way to forget her ex? No wonder she treated me like a damn call boy.
I asked her, "Were you drinking your sorrows away last night, begging me to take you home, because your boyfriend betrayed you?"
And what did she say? "Professional boundaries. One-time thing."
