Henry looked over, surprised. His eyes widened a bit and he quickly pulled his hand back from Vera’s. Then he stood up and slowly walked toward me. “What are you doing here?”
I leaned against the doorframe, gave him a cold smirk and ignored his question. My eyes locked on Vera as I sneered, “You don't think the crap you were talking just now sounded like a comedy sketch? Acting like some self-sacrificing saint, trying to step aside for me, while still trashing me every chance you get. Wow, must be nice having it both ways.”
