Even though Seth had gone as planned, that little wretch Nancy was full of tricks. There was no telling what she might pull next. No, Gabriella needed an extra layer of insurance. She swiped open her screen, found that familiar number, and dialed. "Hello? Mom? What is it? I'm busy here!" Jonathan asked impatiently from the other end. The moment Gabriella heard that tone, her temper flared. "Busy? What serious business could you possibly be busy with besides eating, drinking, and fooling around all day? Listen carefully, there's something important I need you to do." Gabriella lowered her voice and quickly recounted Seth's return to Eryndor. She continued, "Listen, forget about everything else for the next few days. Just keep your eyes on Nancy and Seth. Find a way to create opportunities for the two of them to be together, understand?"
