Chapter 510
Come to think of it, Luciano had changed over the years.
Once carefree and brash, he used to stride through the world with unshakable confidence, laughter always on his lips. But now, he had become quieter, guarded, even. The fire in his eyes hadn’t gone out, but it had dimmed, buried beneath layers of something colder. Something heavier.
No one knew exactly why. Maybe no one dared to ask.
Luciano didn’t speak. He simply leaned back in his seat and let out a long, exhausted sigh.
The club around him pulsed with neon lights, the thrum of bass-heavy music rattling the floor. Laughter echoed. Glasses clinked.
But none of it reached him. The vibrant scene might as well have been happening on another planet.
He didn’t belong in it—not anymore.
And yet, he had nowhere else to go.
The Moreno Group had been quiet lately. Business was smooth. No internal conflict, no territorial feuds. There was nothing left to fight for—or distract him.
Idle hands, as the saying went, were the devil’s workshop
