Chapter 84 One Night By Mommy’s side

Hansel nodded before he finally went out with Piers Brion and Gretel. Mark Pattinson, on the other hand, turned back to the ward when he saw them leave. Back in the car; just as Hansel entered, his expression abruptly took a turn. “How is the investigation that I assigned you going on?” Piers Brion looked at him. “You were right. It is her!” When he heard this, a cruel grin spread across Hansel’s face. He said this before. Anyone who had hurt his mummy, he would pay their deeds back a thousandfold! Don’t mind if I do!” Hansel glanced at him speechlessly, before he turned to walk towards the kitchen. Gretel and Piers Brion were sitting on the sofa. “Tell me, quick. What happened today?” Piers Brion watched Gretel. Even though he had not interacted with her much, after seeing Hansel that day, it was safe to assume that Gretel was the same too. “Do you want to know?” “Nonsense. Why would I ask you if I didn't?” Piers Brion was speechless. Of course, these two siblings had the same temper. Even though this Gretel looked like a princess, when her temper flared, she could be pretty feisty too. “Alright!” Piers Brion nodded, then he started to tell Gretel the whole story. Whereas back in the kitchen, Hansel was still worried about Lyla. Besides, he regretted coming home now. After dwelling on it throughout the day, he still could not let go of his thoughts. As long as Mark Pattinson was there, he was relieved. With this thought in mind, he started to cook earnestly. Actually, it was nothing much, just three bowls of noodles. He called out as he carried them out, “It’s pretty late. So let’s have a simple meal.” Although it was just a bowl of noodles, Hansel made them look very presentable. Just as Gretel said, it was no different from what a six-star hotel would serve. It was pretty lucky to get a meal by now, especially one that smelled, looked and tasted this appetizing. Piers Brion had nothing to pick on. “Thank you, boss!” Piers Brion said smiling, as he came over to take the noodles. Then Gretel opened up and said, “Yours is in the kitchen, go take it yourself!” Piers Brion had nothing to say to that. Feeling exceptionally annoyed, he got up and went to the kitchen to get his noodles. Soon after, he walked back out. As he carried the noodles, he sat by Hansel’s side. It looked delicious and tasted even better than it looked. Piers Brion was truly impressed. “Boss, are you a genius?” Piers Brion could not help but say. However, Hansel lazily lifted an eyebrow, “Well, obviously I am!” Piers Brion was speechless. He really had nothing to say to that. “This is too good!” “Manners. How could you eat a bowl of noodles that atrociously! ” Hansel could not help nag. “I haven’t eaten for the whole day, alright!” Piers Brion could not help but refute. He had been busy with the stocks since this morning. At night, he was busy with his own matters. At this point, not only were noodles delicious, even plain bread would be good. Hansel glanced at him. It was not just him, even he was hungry himself. He had never skipped a single one of his three daily meals. Now that he had missed dinner tonight, he was absolutely famished. There’s nothing else for now, so she should wake up soon. Don't worry!” But Mark Pattinson’s eyes were riddled with worry. “It's bright daylight and we’re in a hospital.
