THE MASTERMIND
His name sounded somewhat distant to me.
My mind travelled back to the last time I saw him—I could still remember every single thing.
I wanted to be angry at him for how things played out that day.
But with everything happening, I could barely find it within me to hold any grudge.
“What are you doing here?” I questioned in confusion, as I took his form.

It looked like a very unusual clothes for the heir of the Rivers family to wear.
His eyes held mine for sometime, before he regained himself.
A wide smile tugged on his lips as he watched me.
“I have an important meeting with someone here,”
he muttered with a shrug.
“Oh okay,” I said, not wanting to keep on with the conversation when I remembered the words he had said to me in his car that day.
Thankfully, the elevator stopped at my floor at that moment.
