TOO NUMB

My entire world paused the moment that familiar voice spoke. It was followed by the loud slapping of skin, along with a male grunt. My breathing came faster, and my hands trembled. This felt like deja vu all over again back to when Xavier cheated on me. But this time was different, because Ethan was my husband, not my boyfriend. I pushed the door open with a loud bang without thinking, not caring if it shook off its hinges. But then, I paused the moment my eyes took in the sight before me. A woman knelt bent with her ass raised in the air, as a large man stood behind, pounding into her. My breathing siezed when I caught sight of the man, and my legs grew weak. His face was turned away from me, and I could see was his back. His very familiar built back. One I’ve seen countless times I’ll recognize even in my sleep. The back of the man I’ve given everything to—my husband. “Ethan!” I gasped his name out weakly, surprised that I could even form words. I watched as his movement stopped imme
