I put in the last piece of material, zipping my suitcase as I put it on the floor carefully. I had spent more than one week with the kids, and I knew that I couldn't spend more time here unless I was trying to risk Lily and her mother finding out everything that I was trying to hide.
Olivia sighed, cocking her head to the side.
“Did something happen?” I asked, and she looked away immediately. Luckily, I looked just in time to see the tears in her eyes. I walked over to her, turning her face to look at me properly.
“What happened?” I asked again, and she sniffled.
