Chapter 27 Where Are You Elizabeth?

I couldn’t feel her presence anymore. The echo of my heartbeat was unbearable, and my breath grew deeper each passing second. The tapping was only getting louder and if someone was around me, they would definitely hear the harsh rhythm. “Is this all true?” I asked in a wishful thinking. I quickly opened the door. Elizabeth was floating in the air. I found myself looking around the room, wishing she would come out from behind the bedroom door. Once again, my heart was pounding in my chest, and it felt like a wave of pain snuck against my chest. In less than two seconds, I broke down another door. Her scent was getting stronger in that room. However, she was not there. I couldn’t feel her. Her room was clean and tidy, and there was nothing there to be found. All her stuff was still there. Maybe she'll come back? I rummaged through her suitcase, grabbed one of her shirts and held it close to my nose to calm my wolf.
