"Vivienne, you haven't calmed down yet. I'll take you home and you can get some rest," Sebastian insisted.
Impatience colored Vivienne's face. "Did you even listen to a word I said, Sebastian?"
He shot her a deadpan look. "Yes, but I'll never agree to a divorce."
Vivienne shoved him away, her gaze boring into his. "Sebastian, I'm serious."
"So am I."
She was starting to get annoyed with him. "You don't love me, so why won't you let us get a divorce? A man with your qualities shouldn't have to settle for a woman like me. It's entirely possible for you to marry a princess, even."
The air went still for a moment, then Sebastian raised his brow and gripped Vivienne's chin. "First of all, I'm not going back to the Fosters. Secondly, I don't want anyone else, just you."
His eyes were as dark as night, like inky, depthless, icy ponds. He stared at her so intently that a strange feeling began to take hold of her. She stared at her reflection in his almost-obsidian orbs, her heart racing
