Vivienne looked at Xenia calmly. "What if I choose not to forgive you?"
Xenia replied, "I'll bow until you do."
Vivienne snorted before turning silent. She knew Xenia was trying to guilt-trip her into forgiving her.
She might have forgiven Xenia in the past, but she was no longer kind-hearted now. After all, her injury was still throbbing, and Xenia's threat was still ringing in her ears.
Why should she suffer for someone else's mistake?
The atmosphere in the room turned stiff, and even the temperature seemed to have dropped.
Both Vivienne and Sebastian remained quiet. This shocked Xenia, for she never expected Vivienne not to back down.
