Chapter 28 New arrivals

Giovanni's POV I sat down fidgeting on my hands as I awaited the arrival of my brother. He was being late, he said he'd come by the previous day but he never arrived making me anxious.  Lost in my thoughts, my handmaid entered, her face gleaming with joy, I looked up at her expecting the happy news I wanted to hear.  “He's back, my lady, Lord Marco is back” she said and my face widened with a smile, a very wide smile.  “Thanks Joanne” I said as I stood up from where I was sitting and dashed out of the room.  Marco had been gone for two weeks, visiting someone in Russia. I missed him as the only person who I could relate with except Joanne was him.  We had been very close siblings although distant because he's always busy with work, getting rid of one gang or the other. Having to go on a trip for meetings and all sorts.  I walked to his door and opened it wanting to go in for a hug but realized someone was in there with him so I had to come back, I wouldn't want to disrupt his meeting.
