A few men and women were seated in the private room. They were around my age, but their demeanor gave off an air of nobility and wealth. With just one glance, I could tell that they were all children of influential families here in Govendale, and not just any ordinary affluent families. "Oh, Quinn. Come in!" The group burst into smiles the moment we entered. A strikingly beautiful woman walked up to Quinn and gave her a hug. "It's been ages since you came back and hung out, Quinn. You've totally forgotten about us, haven't you?" She giggled playfully, a trace of accusation in her tone. "How could I? I would never forget about you guys wherever I go." Quinn smiled. Then, she turned to introduce me. "Let me introduce someone. This is my friend, Max Wexler." At that, several pairs of eyes turned toward me. Their gazes were a mix of surprise and intrigue.
