CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR – FACTION POLITICS
One evening, as Cassie was closing up the shop, Florian appeared at the door. "How was your day?" he asked, leaning in for a kiss.
Cassie sighed, leaning into his embrace. "Exhausting, but I think I'm making progress. How about you?"
Florian's expression darkened. "There's... tension in the pack. Sorin called a council meeting for tonight."
"Is everything okay?" Cassie asked, concern creeping into her voice.
Florian ran a hand through his hair. "I'm not sure. There's a faction that's not happy with Sorin's leadership. They think he's too... traditional."
"And you? What do you think?"
Florian hesitated. "I think change can be good, but... I worry about the consequences of challenging the old ways."
Later that night, Cassie found herself in a dimly lit room, surrounded by werewolves. The air was thick with tension as Sorin, a tall man with silver-streaked hair, stood at the head of the table.
