CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE – A DRUNK EX
But Cassie was beyond listening. She stormed into their bedroom and started pulling Alex's clothes out of the dresser, throwing them onto the bed.
"What are you doing?" Alex asked, following her.
"What does it look like? I'm packing your things. I want you out."
Alex grabbed her arm. "Cassie, stop. Let's talk about this."
She yanked her arm away. "No, Alex. We're past talking. All we do is talk in circles, and I'm tired of it. I'm tired of the accusations, the jealousy, the constant drama. I need you out of my life."
As she spoke, she continued grabbing his belongings, moving to the living room and throwing them towards the door.
Alex's face contorted with a mix of anger and panic. "You can't just throw me out. This is my apartment too!"
"It's in my name," Cassie shot back. "I've been paying most of the rent for months while you chase your music dreams. Dreams that I supported, by the way, even when it meant sacrificing my own opportunities."
