CHAPTER FIFTY THREE – POINTING OUT THE SPIES
She deliberately stumbled as she passed their table, spilling a tray of drinks down the front of the man's shirt.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, grabbing a handful of napkins. As she helped clean up the mess, she discreetly placed her phone on the table, its camera facing up.
"It's fine, it's fine," the man grumbled, clearly annoyed at the interruption.
Cassie continued to fuss over the spill, all the while keeping an ear on their conversation. To her relief, they seemed to have abandoned their attempts to persuade Lisa.
As soon as she could, Cassie retrieved her phone and hurried back to Karl's booth. She pulled up the recording she'd managed to capture, her hands shaking slightly.
"Karl," she said, her voice low and urgent. "I think we have a problem."
Karl's eyes sharpened, all traces of casual flirtation gone. "What kind of problem?"
Cassie glanced around to make sure they weren't being overheard. "Those two men at the bar. I think they're trying to spy on the clu
