Zachary suspected that there was something hidden between the lines, but he didn't press Jessica. At that moment, all he wanted to do was hold her and rest. Jessica stayed still in his arms. For a moment, all he could see was red. He pulled out a tissue and wiped the lingering warmth from his hands. Then, he carefully helped her put her thermal top back on and buttoned up her pajamas.
