Ignoring her father's frantic calls, we made our way deeper into the woods until we knew it was safe to shift. Without removing the shorts, he shifted into our wolf form mid stride before taking off into the night. Menacing growls vibrated through our body as he ran faster than I had ever seen him before. He avoided each tree with ease, missing them by mere inches before dodging in another direction without a single thought. Every now and then he would slow down his pace and sniff the air, barely catching his scent before following it. I could tell we were near the border of our territory on the Western side and in mere minutes we would be crossing it. I could sense the presence of some of the pack members who were currently patrolling the border before I pushed my wolf aside and took over, stopping his fast pace within seconds.
