CHAPTER 37

*Olivia* I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I stretched out against the bed, loosening all the tight joints. I heard them pop and smiled as I threw off the covers. Swinging my feet over the bed, I slipped my legs into the pair of slippers and made my way to the bathroom. Today was a good day. I felt much better than usual and my head seemed clearer. Maybe it's because you are getting closer to Julian. I rolled my eyes, ignoring the voice. I picked up my toothbrush, spreading toothpaste along the bristles. I turned on the tap, running the toothpaste below it. I started brushing my mouth, humming an old song under my breath. I spat into the sink as I finished, using a cup on the counter to collect water to rinse out my mouth. Slipping out of my clothes, I stepped into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
