Chapter 35

"Don't you ever leave me again." She asked him with complaint. "This was the last time he got close to you and harmed you. I promise Ember, I will never leave you alone again." He assured her and kissed her hand gently. "Good. Can you please hug me?" she asked timidly. He didn't respond, he just took off his suit quickly, laid down next to her, covered both of them with some blankets and pulled her as gently as he could on him.  She buried her face in his neck and took his scent relieved while he wrapped his arms around her and caressed her bare back.  She was only with her underwear and her bra as her dress was making it difficult for her to breathe and the doctor said it would be a big help for her if they took it off.  Her body was hot and her breaths were steady and deep, she was still in pain but she could handle it now. "I want to spend my life with you." She whispered exhausted.
