My mother growled, baring her canines. My heart dropped and clenched as a few tears escaped my eyes. I was too shocked to react. Surrounding it were boxes, buckets with vile liquid that I assumed was wolfsbane, a table on the far corner – beer bottles scattered on top, and violent tools used to torture someone.
