Chapter 24 A kiss in the night

Looking at such a large study, Shirley looked back and forth and suddenly saw a book on one of the shelves, Ancient and Modern Storms of Commerce. Her eyes lit up. The book was not commercially available today, but it had been placed a little high. Shirley looked at Leon, who was playing on the keyboard. She had to stand on tiptoe and try her best. She didn't know what she was up against. "Snap!” Several books fell off the shelf. Shirley rushed to get it. She hit the bookshelf and began to fall to the floor. She closed her eyes tightly and instead of the cold ground she had expected, she fell into a soft cushion floating with a faint scent. Shirley opened her eyes and saw the scene. Her face went cold. She was lying on top of Leon with her lip right next to his cheek. There was a buzz in Shirley's head. Her mind went blank. She couldn't remember anything, let alone know what to do.
