Chapter 46: Something Fishy

Kai’s P.O.V “Woah? Am I dreaming?” Was the first thing my mother said to me as soon as she opened the door and found me standing at the doorstep of my parent’s house. “Apparently not,” I gave her a sheepish smile as she moved aside to let me in. “Is Kia home?” “Yes, and so is your father.” I stopped halfway while taking off my shoes. “Dad’s home?” I looked back at my mom, who had just shut the door behind me. “Yes,” she smiled gently as she beckoned me inside. “He came home for the week. He’ll be leaving again next week.” Dad was a surgeon, whose profession kept him away from the house most of the year, so it was indeed a rare sight to see him home.
