Olivia felt a little scared. The place seemed abandoned, with darkness all around and strange noises coming from inside. She couldn't deny being frightened, but she had to go on because of Lucian. With determination, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. Her only thought was to find the boy. Inside, she looked around the walled courtyard and paused for a moment. Her eyes settled on the house door. She listened intently, having heard a door open somewhere inside, although she didn't know where exactly. She opened the main door and peeked inside. In a couple of seconds, she saw light coming from the backyard. So, someone was indeed there. Without hesitating, Olivia kept moving forward.
