ALEXANDER’S POV The grass was soft under our feet, and the lake shimmered like glass as we walked towards it. Eliza didn’t know this but I had planned a little picnic here by the lake. I thought it would be romantic. I watched her face light up as she followed me past the trees where the fairy lights glowed. Her steps were hesitant until we stepped into the clearing.
