LIAM’S POV I stood at the window, looking outside to distract myself. The pain in my chest was still there and something told me it would never go away till Natalie was safe. Every second without Natalie was a second too long. My chest throbbed with the mate bond. Right now, the bond felt so sharp. It felt like barbed wire wrapped around my heart.
