The crowd in the hospital began to thin as it neared the end of Emily's shift. Emily took off her white coat and had just walked out of the hospital when a familiar black car stopped in front of her. The car window wound down to reveal Robert's overly eye-catching face. He was dressed in a set of dark gray casualwear, and his hair was impeccably styled. He looked a lot more composed than he did earlier that morning. Robert alighted from the car and leaned against the door. Then, he looked at Emily and asked, "Let's have dinner together? I think that I owe you an official apology." Emily halted her steps, and her expression remained indifferent as she looked at him. Apology? An apology was completely worthless in the face of all the crazy and suffocating things he'd done to her in the past.
