Ezra was sitting on a hospital bench and he had a very mixed expression. There was a hint of relief mixed with pain,then it became very cold again,and finally his gaze regained its calm. Ezra slowly stood up and walked into the room,he looked down at Beth lying on the hospital bed,his eyes were all guilty. Beth seemed to feel the arrival of Ezra,feather light eyelashes blinked twice,gently opened on the eyes. Beth's eyes were filled with sadness as she looked at Ezra with red eyes and struggled to sit up. Ezra pressed Beth back down and moved the bed so Beth could sit up against the pillows,moving gently and with patience. Beth looked at the sun-splashed Ezra,her eyes flashing with lingering love and adoration. "Ezra,we don't have our baby anymore do we?"Beth's tone was very soft,like a drop of water falling. Ezra almost didn't hear the words,and he wished he hadn't.Once Beth's words were out,Ezra's body visibly stiffened.
