Rebecca's expression had turned ice-cold. Nothing Stanley could do or say would hurt her anymore. His face darkened, like someone had just called out the truth he'd been trying to deny. But he stubbornly denied it, "I could never love you. I won't betray Mia because she's the only one I'll ever love." Before she could respond, Ethan interrupted with a mocking tone, "You keep talking about not betraying Mia, but you've already betrayed her countless times. "You found a replacement, married her, treated her like she was actually Mia, then proposed to another stand-in. Every step was a betrayal. "You let Mia down. You hurt Nadia. And you don't deserve Rebecca either. So, tell me what gives you the right to come at me? At least I'm devoted to one person. I don't have a first love, and I don't lie to myself like you do." His words ripped away the last shred of denial Stanley had wrapped himself in. Stanley stood frozen, desperate to retort but unable to come up with a single defense.
