Chapter 53: Leaving it Here

~ Willow ~ “Wake up, Willow!” A familiar voice shook me awake. I blinked my eyes a few times, taking a moment to remember what happened. Everything hurts. “Willow, baby! Talk to me!” The voice pleaded with me to speak. Who am I looking at? When my clouded vision cleared, I saw his amber eyes staring back at me. “Drake?” I whispered. “Damn it, Willow! What the hell are you doing here? AHHH!” Drake screamed. He stood to his feet and fisted his hair. “Why the fuck would he let you be here!?” I could feel my broken bones beginning to heal. My Lycan abilities eclipsed the healing abilities of most mythical beings. Remembering Brax I threw my body upright. Damn the pain! “Drake, where’s Brax? I have to get to him!” Drake shoved me back down. “Stay the fuck down, Willow! He’s okay for the moment, his father finally joined the fight. They are working together, but they won’t hold off my father long. I have to get you out of here.” He went to pick me up. “No, Drake! I can’t leave.” He didn’t li
