Chapter 54: Eyes on Me

Demi I looked in the mirror and hardly recognized myself. I definitely looked more confident than I felt. My makeup is heavy, as if I am going for a glamor photo shoot. The Red silk robe was a pretty contrast to my golden tan skin. My hair fell in waves over my shoulders. I finished off my efforts by spraying some of Selene’s perfume in the usual areas, wrists, neck, through my hair, and on the back of my neck. I decided to get ready in Selene’s room. That way Ryder wouldn’t catch me and know what I was doing. I hope he’s surprised. My hands shook and felt damp. It’s the nerves. I took a deep breath and washed all the makeup from my hands.
