The Annual Minerals Exhibition was held downtown in the suburbs of Sapphire City. It was an important event because of the sheer variety of valuable minerals showcased. Ranging from industrial minerals like gypsum to precious metals like gold and silver and stones like diamond—they were available in their purest and rarest forms. Therefore, the exhibition attracted many wealthy and upper-class people across the country. Tyler wasn’t really interested in precious stones.
