VALERIA. “You really chose me, huh?” Celeste teases as she meets me in front of my dorm room. “I have to hand it to you. You had real guts saying that in front of the boys.” My face heats up. It’s already been some time since that incident at the library, and yet Celeste never fails to mention the fact that I had to outright tell the boys no. I believe she secretly likes it. The part of her that loves the attention definitely flourished after that moment. It’s a windy day today. I’m dressed in the usual uniform for students even though everyone else is in their best outfits. I just added some stockings and a scarf to my ensemble while Celeste is clad in a mauve jacket and pants set, with a white turtleneck sweater and a bright pink beret. I would definitely stick out like a sore thumb. “Do you remember their faces?” Celeste continues as I put on shoes, with her still lingering by the door.
