Maeve’s POV I suddenly felt a little lighter knowing that Isabelle wasn’t going to join us for dinner. But I was curious as to why she chose not to be here. I knew that Alpha Kenneth said she wasn’t feeling well, but I couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to it than that. She always jumped at the opportunity to show me up and embarrassed me, but now it seemed as if she was avoiding me.
