Chapter FORTY-SIX

Lusia I watched as King Dane walked away, his broad shoulders stiff with restrained fury. The heavy doors shut behind him, leaving me alone with my brother. I hated that he had to leave, but it was better I confronted Finn alone. The last thing I wanted was for Finn to get battered by King Dane. He was walking on a thin rope each time he came here and it looked like his luck was running out. I didn’t know how much longer I could protect him from King Dane.
