I quickly slip the CD inside, and my eyes water at the image of my dad carrying me on his shoulders. Mason was peaking around the corner angrily, or should I say in jealousy. And then dad dropped me playfully on the couch, and grabbed Mason, who squealed in surprise. ‘Ah, Mason, you’re getting heavier!’ my dad groaned out. I laughed in the video, and in person. The next scene was of me baking my first cup cakes in the kitchen with mom. Lastly, the clip was of me and Jess, Jess was making me ready for a party before christmas, and on my face, instead of joy, there was fear. I knew exactly why, at that moment, I was thinking about the ceremony. I suddenly felt a presence behind me, Selene was in the doorway, she said calmly, “come and eat!” But her gaze lingered on the screen longer, and I looked back to see the credits falling of my mom, dad, Jess, and me. I turned back around, but she was already gone.
